Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings made with The Cotswolds Day Tours Company (“we,” “our,” “us”). By booking a tour, you (“the client,” “you”) agree to these terms.
 

1. Bookings & Payments

  • All tours must be booked in advance via our website, email, or phone.

  • A full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.

  • Prices are quoted in GBP (£) and are inclusive of driver-guide, private SUV transport, and itinerary planning.

  • Meals, entrance fees, and optional extras (e.g., hampers, champagne, yurt stays) are not included unless stated otherwise.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the tour: 50% refund of total tour price.

  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the tour: non-refundable.

  • All deposits are non-refundable.

  • If we cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., vehicle breakdown, illness, extreme weather), a full refund will be issued or an alternative date offered.

  • Refunds will be processed within 10 working days.

3. Amendments

  • Tour itineraries are flexible and can be tailored, but requests for changes must be made at least 48 hours before the tour.

  • We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to itineraries due to road closures, attraction availability, weather, or other circumstances outside our control.

4. Liability & Insurance

  • We carry full public liability insurance for all tours.

  • We are not liable for:

    • Loss or damage to personal belongings.

    • Delays caused by traffic, weather, or third-party services.

    • Personal injury or accidents not caused by negligence on our part.

  • Clients are advised to take out personal travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical needs, and personal property.

5. Conduct & Safety

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behaviour poses a risk to safety or enjoyment of others.

  • Children must be supervised at all times.

  • Pets are welcome on tours, but must be kept under control.

6. Accessibility & Inclusivity

  • We strive to make tours inclusive and accessible. Please inform us of any mobility or special requirements in advance so we can adjust the itinerary accordingly.

  • We are a dog-friendly and LGBTQ+ inclusive company.

7. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our control, including (but not limited to) strikes, natural disasters, epidemics, or government restrictions.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Disputes & Complaints

We are committed to providing high-quality service and memorable experiences. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your tour:

  • Please raise the issue with your guide during the tour, so we can attempt to resolve it immediately.

  • If the issue cannot be resolved on the day, please submit your complaint in writing within 14 days of the tour by emailing info@cotswoldsdaytours.co.uk.

  • We will review and respond to all complaints within 10 working days.

In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved directly, the matter will be handled in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties agree to seek resolution through mediation before pursuing formal legal action.
