Sit back and enjoy the drive through beautiful countryside as we head to Bourton-on-the-Water, where the iconic Christmas tree sparkles in the River Windrush. This postcard-perfect village is one of the Cotswolds’ most beloved festive sights. Next, we’ll explore a traditional Christmas market. Depending on the date, this could be the lively Cirencester Advent Market with hundreds of stalls, mulled wine, and artisan gifts, or the more intimate Stow-on-the-Wold Market, set around a historic market square. By midday, we’ll stop for a pub lunch at one of our favourite country inns. Expect roaring fires, hearty roasts, and festive puddings — The Wild Rabbit in Kingham or The Fleece in Cirencester are two of our top recommendations. The afternoon brings a scenic drive through charming villages like Chipping Campden or Broadway, both beautifully decorated for Christmas. Every corner feels like a storybook — with twinkling lights, historic high streets, and boutique shops.
